Pain, stress, fatigue, tension, poor sleep, overwhelm.
For many people, this slowly becomes normal.
At The Hive Chiropractic, rather than chasing symptoms, we take a different approach.
Our goal is to help your body adapt, and function better over time, so you can move through life with more energy, clarity, resilience, and ease.
Your first visit is a 45-minute, one-to-one consultation designed to help you understand what’s going on in your body and whether chiropractic care is right for you.

We take time to understand your body: Who you are and what you need.

We assess movement, posture, balance, and nervous system function to understand how your body is responding to its environment.

If chiropractic care is the right fit, we’ll walk you through clear recommendations tailored to your goals and lifestyle.
After working in a number of established practices, I realised I wanted to create something that felt more human, connected, and proactive.
I believe the body has an incredible ability to adapt and heal when communication and connection within the system are functioning well. Health is not just about symptoms. It’s about how well you sleep, move, recover, handle stress, and show up in your everyday life. Pain may be the entry point, but the conversation is much bigger than pain.
Too often, people only start paying attention to their health once something has already gone wrong. I wanted to build a practice that helped people better understand their body, build resilience over time, and feel more empowered in their health long before they hit crisis point.

No, a Chiropractic adjustment should not be painful at all. Techniques are always adapted to your body and preferences, and nothing is done without your consent. Some mild soreness can occasionally occur, similar to after exercise, but this usually settles quickly.
Yes, in many cases, chiropractic care is still appropriate after spinal surgery. We always avoid surgically modified areas and carry out a thorough assessment before beginning care. If surgery has led to compensation or strain in other areas of the spine, these may become the focus of your care.
Yes, you’re very welcome to bring someone with you if it helps you feel more comfortable. We can also provide a professional chaperone upon request.
The cracking sound is caused by a small release of gas within the joint as it moves, similar to cracking your knuckles. Some adjustments are completely quiet, and the sound itself isn’t linked to the effectiveness of treatment.
No, for routine adjustments you will not need to remove clothing apart from coats, belts and shoes. However it may be more comfortable to be in loose fitting clothes. For your Initial Consultation, tighter, gym type clothing is ideal to help with the accuracy of the posture assessment. If any adjustment to clothing is needed to examine an area, this will always be discussed with you first and handled respectfully.
This is assessed on a case-by-case basis but routinely most of the people that come to see us do not require either to start care. If imaging is ever appropriate, we will discuss this with you and refer you to the relevant specialist.
No, you don’t need a referral to book an appointment. You can contact us directly and arrange your consultation at a time that suits you. However, we’ll work alongside healthcare professionals if required and beneficial to your circumstances.
Some health insurance providers do cover chiropractic care, but this varies by policy. We recommend checking directly with your insurer to confirm your level of cover. If needed, we’re happy to provide receipts and documentation to support your claim.
